"Latino Review broke the news of Alia Shawkat’s casting, whereas Life & Style came out with the story that Tatum O’Neal has been tapped to star in the biopic movie.
Shawkat who plays acerbic teenager Maeby Funke in FOX’s comedy series “Arrested Development” reportedly will be playing a character named Robin. Latino Review describes Robin as an 18-year-old tall and slender bass player who is the oldest and most feminine of the band, hinting further that the character may have been created in essence of the band’s original Micki Steele.Academy Award-winning O’Neal will take the role of a mother. The 45-year-old daughter of actor Ryan O’Neal allegedly has been cast to play the mother of Dakota Fanning’s character, Cherie Currie. Previously, “H2: Halloween 2″ star Scout Taylor-Compton confirmed through her MySpace that she has secured the role of guitar icon Lita Ford for the movie. “hey guys!
