"Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker in the new Batman movie was inspired by Sid Vicious, says co-star Christian Bale.
Ledger watched old clips of the late Sex Pistols bassist when researching the part.
He said: "Heath's created an anarchic Joker unlike any ever seen before".
